Trails of Fun

This past Monday, hubby and I met up with his extended family to hike the Berta Lake trail in Waterton National Park. I have a confession. While I was looking forward to the hike I thought I would have to take it easy for the sake of the "older people" in the group. Well...I was at the back DYING!  I couldn't believe how out of shape I was and here was my 60+ uncles and aunts whipping my butt. I couldn't have that! So I raced the last portion of the hike only to endure more intense pain in my hips and tightness in chest. Despite my pain I got the happy satisfaction of being second to last instead of  the very last.   As side note: it was a comfortable 28 that day, lots of wind, no mosquitoes.

I amputated my leg because my knee hurt so bad.
