Breakthrough at Bathtime

As I was cleaning out the sink of dirty dishes, I hear a flutter of wings and turn just in time to see Tango the blue female Linnie crash land onto the counter. Earlier I had kept the cage door open in hopes that she would desire to interact with us. Both birds just crawled in the blanket on top of the cage but refused to take notice of us. Very different from our dear Dill who couldn't get enough human interaction. Tango scuttled close to the sink stretching her neck out toward the running water looking at it earnestly. I soaked my hand and flicked water toward the bird. She opened her wings happily accepting the droplets of moisture. This was a breakthrough for us because those little birds are so shy.

One very wet little bird.
