Last night Jon phoned me at work to tell me that we have a baby! No he wasn't pregnant. Nor am I but one of our bird's eggs hatched. The little chick is so small and fuzzy pink. I couldn't resist touching him while the mom was out of the nest box. I checked the other eggs and they are a little heavier and my number two ( I labelled them) looks like it might hatch in the next day or so. I am so excited to start hand feeding them. I guess I do that at three weeks. This is all very new to me.
