We really do have the best of friends here. Sunday after church we decided to have a "potluck" at Becca and Marc's place. These are common so Jon didn't suspect a thing. We were running a little late, as usual, and when we walked through their front door they shouted HAPPY BIRTHDAY and threw streamers on Jon. It was a fun little party and Jon really appreciated it. It has been a long time since we've have a proper party for him.
They had even made Jon's portrait using balloons. I thought it was a pretty good likeness. It was a mishmash of food. I brought homemade flour tortillas, beans, pico de gallo and shredded chicken. Becca made spaggetti, Marc made muffins while had made Jackie made a cake.
